Its been a month and a half since i got my new bike and officially entered the off-season. I totally love my stumpjumper 29er carbon, i have put on a handful of half-day rides and several other smaller rides since mid november, its been amazing. I have been focusing on building strength in the gym, managing my left ankle and knee, and working on nutrition with a new member of my team, Lisa Markley.

Feelting quite good for middle of winter. I am working on building my entire body all around and it feels great to have a strong core and upper body. My weight has only increased by about 3% in 1.5 months of strength training, while my strength overall has increased by about 25% so far. My consultation with Lisa M. revealed that i was not eating enough calories, not eating enough whole food density, and relying too much on supplements because i was hungry. It took about 1 week of eating more and more dense meals for me to notice an improvement in my weight training...i am a believer now!

SKC 2010 plans are getting ironed out and it looks like I am going to be part of something special this year in KCMO, with lots of racing, a good team, some national races, and lots of growth.
